What’s on offer?

There are three award winning Garfish restaurants in Sydney: Manly, Kirribilli (near North Sydney) and Crows Nest on the lower North Shore. Each venue operates 7 days a week, Kirribilli and Crows Nest for breakfast, lunch and dinner – while Manly is open for lunch and dinner only.

With long opening hours and 3 venues, we have plenty of opportunities for Chefs, Kitchen Staff and Front of House staff.

Current positions available:

Restaurant Operations Manager – Manly

Exciting opportunity for a highly skilled, hands on Operations Manager to join our award winning 140 seat restaurant and bar. You will have total responsibility for FOH operations, working alongside our Head Chef.

The role

  • Lead and train management team of 4 in key service areas – Bar, Functions, Personnel and Staff Training
  • Maintain excellent customer service standards
  • Manage Beverage and Payroll costs

Key attributes required

  • A proven background in managing quality restaurants and a service-oriented attitude
  • Exceptional organisational skills
  • Ability to drive systems and procedures
  • Strong team building and motivation skills

Experienced chefs & front of house staff / waitstaff – Manly

Are you looking to gain international experience in an award winning restaurant?

Restaurant Manager – Kirribilli

We are currently seeking an energetic, hands-on Restaurant Manager to join our award winning team. Must have a minimum of two years experience in similar fast paced venue, be enthusiastic and have excellent customer service skills.

You will be a positive, dynamic individual with strong leadership skills and a willingness to learn, as the right person for this job will be looking to grow within the company. We are looking to hire a hardworking, responsible and stable person to work alongside an established team of owners and managers in a role which requires motivation, creativity and flexibility.

You will be required to work five days a week, including weekends and have availability for breakfast, lunch and dinner shifts.

FOH staff – Kirribilli

Garfish Kirribilli are currently seeking Front of House staff for their Kirribilli restaurant, ideally with barista/bar experience. The right people will be available for flexible shifts, predominantly days. We’d also consider training the right people who are serious about a career in hospitality.

Barista/Barperson – Crows Nest

Garfish Crows Nest is currently seeking a full time barperson. Coffee experience is essential and the right person will be required for day shifts. Immediate start.

Apprentice career opportunities

Garfish Restaurants Manly, Crows Nest and Kirribilli are seeking enthusiastic, motivated professional, trade qualified chefs and apprentices for 2013.

This is a career enhancing opportunity to be part of  Garfish restaurants, a multi award winning, well resourced and supported business which leads the field in modern contemporary seafood cookery.

You will be handling and cooking premium seafood from around Australia and New Zealand sourced directly from the Sydney Fish market auction floor and from individual growers.

You will be working in a driven, passionate and disciplined team. You will need to be a thorough and focused individual, interested in contributing to and developing a food and working culture with other professionals.

You will be required to work shifts on weekends and be prepared to work 45-50 hours per week. Proven ability and integrity will be rewarded with planned career progression.
