Bug lover? No, not the creepy, crawly kind, the lobster variety. Take a look at these beautifully presented Moreton Bay Bugs on the menu at Manly. They’re well-suited to being roasted in Manly’s wood roasting oven and we challenge bug lovers to resist this flavoursome dish!

Luna Rosa wines coming to Garfish Manly

At Garfish, luna-rosawe pride ourselves on providing a selection of quality wines to compliment the dishes we have on offer. Earlier this week we met with Debbie from Cumulus Wines, who came down to Manly to conduct a training session with us. We’ll be introducing new wines of the month starting from next week. Pictured here is the Luna Rosa variety of wines. Available during June, these wines come from Portugal and the name Luna Rosa celebrates the joining of ‘old world’ Portuguese artisanship with ‘new world’ sophistication of cool climate winemaking to create truly fresh, unique wines.

The 2014 Rosa Blanco has citrus, guava, and apricot flavours with a hint of spice. For the wine buffs, you’ll recognise a blend of Pinot Grigio, Semillon and Riesling.

For the red lovers, the 2013 Rosa Tinto offers a lifted cherry, spice and earthy aroma, with hints of dried herbs. On the palate, it’s medium weight with cherry ripe and spice notes, and good length.

Be sure to ask our staff during your next meal for their wine accompaniment recommendations.
