Garfish Kirribilli is the place to be if you’re keen to taste our award-winning seafood infused with flavours from around the world.

Recently appointed Head Chef, JP, plans to focus on introducing different cooking styles to Kirribilli’s menu. Inspired by his time spent at leading Sydney restaurant, Nomad, and a love of seafood, Kirribilli diners can expect some new and interesting items on the monthly menus.

While at Nomad, JP focused on seafood and worked under the renowned Sydney chef, Nathan Sasi. But that’s not where his love of seafood started. For three years earlier in his career, JP worked as a Sous Chef at Garfish Crows Nest, before taking on the role of Chef de Partie at Nomad. And we’re very excited to have him back!

In returning to Garfish, I hope to draw on my experience while at Nomad and offer Garfish Kirribilli diners something new, using the best Australian produce.”

If you haven’t dined at Garfish Kirribilli before, you’ll find us in the heart of Kirribilli. We offer an intimate, Al fresco style of dining, well-suited to the area which you can usually find buzzing with locals enjoying the wide variety of restaurants. The area attracts locals and tourists alike for its proximity to the harbour. The water and Harbour Bridge are only a short stroll down the hill, and getting here is simple with the train station just across the road.

Garfish-seafood-head-chef-jp-3JP is excited at the prospect of catering to a diverse crowd at Kirribilli. “We’re lucky at Kirribilli, we have a lot of loyal regulars who are very important to us. But we’re also noticing that there’s a younger crowd settling in the area too. I plan to offer our loyal diners something new and fresh, while maintaining the standard they’ve come to expect. Hopefully we’ll also be able to entice some of the new crowd who haven’t eaten here before as well.”

Kirribilli’s menu changes monthly, which we hope will give JP plenty of freedom, and the opportunity to incorporate the best of the season’s produce . We can’t wait to see what he comes up with!
