Mother’s Day is now in the rear view mirror but there’s still plenty going on at all three Garfish Restaurants.
We have been hosting some work placement students from Killarney Heights High School. They have spent their time learning the ropes in our kitchens under the guidance of Head Chef Michael Nash.
Also in Manly, we’re beginning trials of our new iPad Cocktail Menus this week. Our very own Cederic has worked very hard to photograph all of the items on the cocktail menu, read more about the new iPad based cocktail menu here.
As well as being a great behind the bar, he’s also very good behind the camera, check out his photography website here.
Over at Garish Crows Nest …
We’ve enjoyed a busy time that the warmer weather has delivered.
Hamish at Crows Nest captured this photo of our Apprentice Brady working hard on the grill – keeping the orders flowing earlier in the week.
On the specials board at Crows Nest Hamish is featuring a new dish: parmesan gnocchi with hapuka, calvo nero & anchovy butter.
If you’re visiting Crows Nest during the week perhaps that’s something a little different to try, the dish is pictured below.
Vivid Sydney starts this week
The team at Kirribilli are eagerly waiting for the annual light festival Vivid Sydney to kick off this week. Check out this post published earlier in the week for full details.
Share a selfie to win!
It’s coming to the end of May so we’ll be drawing another prize in our “Share and Win” promotion next week. We’ve been encouraging our guests to share a photo of their time spent with us. In return we draw our favourite photo each month and send out a $100 dining voucher to the winner.
Garfish co-founder Mark Scanlan sent us some great photos of his Northern Territory trip. We’re not really sure if it’s product development but still, that’s a healthy looking specimen! It’s catch & release so this guy is back with his mates shortly after the photo 🙂
